What We Believe

We are part of the Protestant Reformation, holding to ancient truth such as written in the Apostles’ Creed, a summary of their preaching and teaching.

“We believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.

We believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, Our Lord.

He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit

and born of the Virgin Mary.

He suffered under Pontius Pilate,

was crucified, died, and was buried.

He descended to the Grave.

On the third day he rose again.

He ascended into Heaven,

and is seated at the right hand of the Father.

He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

We believe in the Holy Spirit,

the holy Universal Church,

the communion of saints,

the forgiveness of sins,

the resurrection of the body,

and the life everlasting. Amen”.

We believe that we can experience the joy of knowing God in a personal way through His Word (the Bible) and the ministry of His Spirit.

We believe that the worship of God is not ultimately about being entertained or even about us—it’s about knowing our Lord Jesus Christ; the centerpiece of worship is the teaching of God’s Word, in a clear and understandable way to all who hear it.

We believe in absolute and knowable truth, and that God wants to use the truth of His Word to set us all free to live for and serve Him.
