Hebrews 12:1-3

All Saints Day remains a tradition among some branches of Christianity to honor those who were martyred for their faith in Jesus; later expanded to honor the memory of those faithful believers whose lives still impact ours today.  Hebrews 12 reminds us that while the Church on earth continues the good fight of faith, the Church in Heaven who have run their leg of this race faithfully is part of the great cloud of witnesses surrounding us.
